Today’s Lockdown Track – Today we send much love to Norma Waterson, Eliza and Martin Carthy, in lockdown together in Robin Hood’s Bay. Few families have been as closely associated with Cambridge. Norma appeared at the first festival with The Watersons. Martin was at the second and has appeared with many people since; his performances, with Dave Swarbrick in particular, were always brilliant and often hilarious. Eliza made her Stage 1 debut aged 13 and has been back many times, coming to represent the resurgence of English folk music and the festival itself.
