Bristol Sounds recently announced its return to the city’s Harbourside and have now revealed the headline acts from the gig series running 26-29 June 2019.

Bloc Party, Tom Misch, The Cat Empire and Elbow make up a diverse line-up for the four-night gig series at Bristol’s Lloyd’s Amphitheatre. Tickets will be released for general sale Thursday 31s January at 9am.

Kicking off the four day event on Wednesday 26 June is the soulful and innovative Tom Misch, one of the biggest UK male performers to emerge in recent years.

Following the release of his first full-length album “Geography”  in 2018, and a packed-out field at Loves Saves the Day last summer, Tom Misch will fill the Amphitheatre with a blend of jazzy guitar and hip-hop inspired beats to welcome Bristol Sounds back to its home by the Harbour.

On Thursday June 27 the headliner is Australian outfit The Cat Empire, widely regarded as one of the world’s greatest party bands. The Antipodean six-piece hold the record at Bristol O2 Academy having sold out a total of 10 shows there over the years and are hugely anticipating their biggest ever south west show.

Bloc Party take to the stage on Friday 28 June for their biggest ever Bristol show. For this special gig the band will perform their ground-breaking debut album ‘Silent Alarm’, released to huge acclaim in 2005.

Saturday the 29 June will see Elbow return to a Bristol stage, having headlined The Downs festival in 2017. The perennial live favourites are headlining events across Europe this summer, and their headline set on the final evening is sure to be a fabulous way to end the Bristol Sounds series.

The four concerts will see music fans enjoy live sets in the spectacular setting of Bristol’s Harbourside. The full line-up of support artists will be announced in the coming weeks.

Conal Dodds, co-founder of Crosstown Concerts commented:

“We’re looking forward to bringing Bristol Sounds back to the Harbourside this summer and to bring with it such a diverse line-up for the Bristol music fans.

“All four of our headliners are incredible live acts and we can’t wait to bring them to the heart of the city. Bristol Sounds continues to go from strength to strength and this is our best line up yet. We expect this line up to sell very quickly so please get your tickets quick on Jan 31st to avoid disappointment!”

Tickets go on general sale at 9am on Thursday 31st January and are available from SeeTickets.com, Ticketmaster.co.uk, Gigantic.com and BristolTicketShop.co.uk
