Watchet Music Festival 2020 – Covid19 Statement
After very careful consideration and closely monitoring the ongoing unprecedented situation due to the COVID-19 virus, we have made the extremely difficult decision to postpone Watchet Festival this August.
This is done with a very heavy heart and comes at a time of universal uncertainty.
We take the health and safety of all of you, our customers, artists, traders, staff and volunteers very seriously and urge everyone to continue to follow the guidelines set out by the UK Government and Public Health England.
We have rescheduled the festival to the Summer Bank Holiday Weekend, 27th, 28th & 29th August 2021.
We are deeply saddened about having to make this decision, but we hope that you understand that this has been done to safeguard every single one of you and hopefully the event itself.
All tickets booked so far will remain valid and will automatically transfer over to the new dates – you don’t need to do anything, apart from feeling really good about rolling your booking over to next year and ultimately helping Watchet Festival to continue.
An email confirmation of these revised dates and details on how to apply for refunds if you are unable to attend the 2021 event will be sent to every ticket holder in the coming week.
On a positive note we have been working non stop for the past week with the 60+ acts on this yearÂ’s line-up, contacting booking agents, management teams and the artists themselves.
We are very pleased to announce that we will be able to replicate most of this fabulous line up at the 2021 event, of course we will advise you of any changes when we are informed to the contrary.
Of course, we still have the Saturday joint headliner and the disco legend slot to announce to give you something extra to look forward to.
In addition to the artists we have also been in contact with our numerous infrastructure suppliers who are all happy to move the dates forward to next year which gives us and them peace of mind.
We are so bitterly disappointed and understand that this is a very challenging time for us all and we very much appreciate your love, understanding and ongoing support.
We really hope that you decide to carry your booking forward to the 2021 weekend. Currently this is an extremely difficult period to operate within the event industry and we ask you to please bear with us during this testing time.
In the meantime, be kind to yourselves, look after your loved ones, stay safe and well and lets all make a date to meet up in our sunny Watchet fields in August 2021.
Thank you, Watchet Festival x
