If you haven’t yet experienced a Vintage Trouble live show you should add it to your bucket list and get ready for something just a little bit special.
What we have here is a band who’ve adopted and adapted the styles, moves, grooves and attitudes of many of the great soul legends.
But they’re not a pastiche or a tribute. This isn’t The Commitments. It’s not a Blues Brothers tribute show…
Far, far from it.
But – at the same time – the emotions they evoke are exactly why the songs featured by The Commitments and the Blues Brothers continue to resonate down the years.
With a three-album catalogue of original material that ranges from the down-dirty bump’n’grind to heartfelt love songs, Vintage Trouble put R’n’B back where it belongs…in a funky space that nods its head to classic soul, soulful blues, and old-skool rock’n’roll.
Fronted by the exuberant, energetic, and effervescent Ty Taylor, the band pluck all the vital ingredients from legendary performers from James Brown and Chuck Berry to Otis Redding and Sam Cooke.
The on-stage dynamics are electric, the crowd interaction is dynamic, and the whole show is kinetic – packed with movement, energy, sweat, and passion.
The Troublemakers are a growing fanbase who follow Vintage Trouble from show to show…and what is interesting is that they span generations and demographics.
VT are no flash-in-the-pan phenomenon – they are here to stay.
