UK Tech-Fest is the UK’s premier technical, progressive metal festival held annually in Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire. They are an outdoor, camping festival that takes place over four days in July at Newark Showground. Tech-Fest hosts over 60 bands across three stages alongside workshops and after-parties.
The first festival was indoors and held in 2012 at the Lounge Bar, Alton. The festival showcased 33 bands over three days, including headliners Chimp Spanner, Textures and Sylosis. In 2013 they moved to Peterborough and introduced camping. In 2014 UK Tech-Fest found its home at Newark Showground and has been there ever since.
Tech-Fest is a progressive metal festival that focuses on bands who are challenging the boundaries of metal and fall into the subgenres of prog, djent, tech metal and death metal. They are proud to present upcoming bands alongside international headliners to give attendees the best experience in an intimate environment.
