NME Festival blog: Arcade Fire and Alvvays nominated for Polaris Music Prize

Arcade Fire and Alvvays feature on the long list for Canada’s prestigious Polaris Music Prize Alvvays, Arcade Fire, Cadence Weapon and Weaves have all been nominated for the award, largely regarded as one of Canada’s most prestigious. The Polaris Prize is awarded to the best full-length Canadian album and is judged solely on artistic merit rather than genre or record sales.
