Sister Suzie and the Right Band – the right choice for Glastonbury 2025

Festivals and gigs. A listings calendar, plus previews, news, reviews, and photos

Sister Suzie and the Right Band are an unmissable part of Glastonbury Festival 2025.

For the last few years Suzie has been pulling of the almost impossible and unthinkable feat of securing a residency slot on a Glastonbury stage.

With every minute of stage time in such high demand, for a single act to be given more than one booking in the same space is highly irregular!

But when you look at what Sister Suzie brings to the party you start to see the reasoning…

From “Sister Suzie: A Musical Journey” by Hastings Independent Press:

She’s ‘the closest thing to New Orleans I have experienced in the UK…bringing ‘natural downhome charm to her take on classic rhythm and blues [and] mixing blues and ballads with some full-bore rockers, spiced with touches of the Louisiana swamp, Sister Suzie is another notable female vocalist putting her own spin on the sounds of a bygone era.’

…and that’s not the half of it!

Blues Blast Magazine said in their ‘Ain’t No Lady’ album review:

…Suzie has a voice capable of delivering the type of nuanced delivery the song requires. She kicks subtlety to the curb, giving a soul-shaking performance. Suzie is at her best on an unhurried performance that epitomizes the Irma Thomas style…mixing blues and ballads with some full-bore rockers, spiced with touches of the Louisiana swamp. Sister Suzie is another notable female vocalist putting her own spin on the sounds of a bygone era. She succeeds … admirably.”
