Oh god. Reeks of pretentiousness. People like this are the reason I don’t want to go to burning man. Go to edc, ultra, lightning in a bottle. Do some drugs, have a good time, make memories and go home. You don’t need to act like your Buddha because you made it harder on yourself to do drugs in the desert.

Honestly I can’t figure out where the hoighty toighty mindset comes from. It’s a dusty ass campsite in the middle of the desert. Sunsets and sunrises are nice, night time is good. Heat of the day is fucking brutal and honestly ruined the entire week for me. People are mostly stuck up tech types or pretentious artists, all of whom seem to think they’re the ideal specimens of humans. There is a distinct lack of music, honestly I tell most folks that I meet at shows and fests that burning man is NOT really a festival. I’m not even sure what it is and nobody’s been able to answer that question in any better way than, “it’s just there!”. Like we’re climbing a mountain just because.
Perhaps I’m just too utilitarian to see a point in burning man. I’ll stick with bass canyon and Wakaan with the rest of my druggie Bass heads 🤪
Every year people ask me at psycodelic festivals ” do you like burning man” or have you been Thier ? And i always tell fucking hell no… Not a damn thing to learn from that place.
