For context, which is one of my favorite things: Tropical Dave was an obvious drunk and the festival banned him from buying alcohol. His solution? He took me behind his trailer, stuck a Gumby suit on me and whispered “Gumby can do anything.”
I’m 15. I waltz up to the beer tent with my friend Tom and Gumby was sent off with 4 free beers.
I did at least give Tropical Dave his beer before I ran off with his suit.
and now I’m wondering where tropical Dave is now.

FunFunFun was such a great weird little festival. Never seen another fest integrate metal, pop, indie wrestling, and comedy into a single package so well. I only went one year but I’m sad they stopped.
