In 2010 I was 29, and would have laughed at the accuracy.
In 2021 I’m 40, and it’s more like “Why is 95% of this lineup some flavor of the year shit? [*Bill Hicks voice*] I came here to see the next Hendrix, *not* the next Madonna.”
I keep up with modern music fairly well for someone my age I think, but damn… I’d kill for a modern festival that has African tribal bands, genre defying nutjobs, and jazz prodigies. Do those even exist anymore?
