So, I’ve loved going to concerts my whole life but I’m sick of the way that the ticketing system works and how big companies use bots to buy up thousands of tickets and then up-charge us like 2-5x on concerts or festivals. Why can’t we call what they do exactly what it is, ‘scalping?’
They charge us insane prices plus service fees and the artists actually get 0% of that money. It is infuriating! I’m seriously on a mission to stop this madness. I did the math based on how much money ‘ticket brokers’ make based on the percentage of tickets they buy for major events and the results would blow your mind! The fact that all of the costs land on us and none of the profits go to the artists is simply unacceptable!!!
