Has anyone used one of these polypropylene outdoor rugs for home base at festivals? Seems to be some mixed reviews.

I have 3 and love them. I’ve never tripped on mine as the other user here mentioned, but I stick to a manageable size like 6×9 that rolls up easily and transports easily on my luggage rack. My friend’s 20×20 came folded and I could see that happening. Super durable, they keep the campsite clean enough to walk and lay on. Spills and rain don’t soak into them and once broken in a bit will often just run through them to the ground (but also it runs off them easily if they aren’t broken in yet).
Walmart has these in their rv section for around $50. I love mine. It has loops in the corners to stake it down, never had a problem tripping over them. They’re easier to clean and dry compared to tarps and allows rain to pass through rather than pool up under your tent. Used this at Sonic bloom in the cactus laden field they had us camp in, was able to go barefoot at my site and protect my tent from rips or tears. Highly recommend.
I got the 9×12 version of [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004303ZGY?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share](this one) to go under our canopy and we were very glad we had it! It feels a little nicer and homier than a tarp and it has loops to stake down the corners so it stayed put all weekend. If you have the space to pack it I definitely would recommend.
I love bringing mine but it can be slippery when I’m wearing socks
We use them and ours can roll up and trip people if not like anchored properly.
Other issues, slippery as fuck when wet and someone’s gonna eventually burn a hole in it. Otherwise they are great and easy to clean off. Depending on how hard you party, I would maybe opt for some cheaper ones at first.
They’re alright. Easy to trip over until they are used alot.
But also we had a friend who’s daughter was not very smart put crown white gas in a tiki torch. I wasn’t there but when I came back the whole thing was melted which lead me to ask what the fuck happened.
I have one and it’s alright. It’s pretty bulky to pack up and it gets creases that refuse to smooth out. If you can snag one cheap for a few fests then go for it. But I’m looking to invest in something nicer and more long term personally.
GET THE SKA ONE
we love ours! i bring them to every festival & they’re super comfy and easy to sweep off. also if you have room bring a broom and dustpan (you can get mini ones). i always end up using it for our tent too!
They are awesome! My crew used to bring actual rugs 😂 these are a much better option.
We absolutely swear by them. We spread ant granules under and stake them down. I couldn’t recommend them enough.
Yes!! I got mine at the discount store Ollie’s It was like 30$
