Hey y’all I’m going to my Cascade Equinox in Oregon alone and it’s making me kind of anxious! I’ve been to several festivals before but always with my group of friends. I definitely always make friends when going out to shows but I’m nervous about being alone and not making any friends. :/

I really need to move out west.
Manic Focus, Tripp St, Of The Trees and of course Pretty Lights are all must see. Better make sure you get your solo self over to those shows. You’ll always make friends along the way. It’s always just me and my fiancé at first and by the end of the festival we are 20 deep sometimes

Goose is amazing. I’ve seen them open for Pigeons a few times. I need to make it to one of their own shows. I’m never disappointed when I’ve seen them.
You’ll make friends. Bring some extra weed or other substances and make some friends! If your camping, talk to your neighbors. Offer them food if possible. You’ll find a clique to chill with.

It’s literally just a party with thousands of people. If you dress up in costume maybe that helps 😅 assuming costumes are allowed 😨😑

Solo can be a different vibe for sure, but honestly can be a lot of fun. I’ve never done a full 3 days solo but I have done a whole day solo before. It can honestly be pretty relaxing. You just get to enjoy the music, don’t have to worry about who wants to go to what set when, don’t have to worry about losing your friends or making sure everyone is okay, you’re only responsible for yourself. Plus it’s not like anyone in the crowd knows you’re solo.
Go visit “Get Fried Rice” and wash dishes for your food if your lonely or feel like you need a place to chill. They are great over there and will welcome you with open arms!

Dude just saw dirt wire for the first time like 2 days ago, had no idea what I was in for but someone told me I needed to catch them, fucking amazing, unlike any show I’ve ever seen before, live dubstep being played with actual instruments, multiple instruments I’ve never seen or heard of before, can’t recommend enough

I just did my second festival where I didn’t know a ton of people camping around me. This one was with a group but I had only meet one of them only 3 weeks prior at my 3rd time to deep tropics. I love it, it’s been fine, I recommend going in as early as possible and immadately getting to know those around you. You’ll have time to set up after you make freinds and you will immediately be safer. But at imagine everyone around us end up being great. Always try to keep yourself safe first and foremost but the vast majority of people I’ve interacted with are great.
Have fun! I was planning to go to this but ended up chosing a different fest that weekend. Hoping to make it next year though.
