The history

In 2008 Helen, Juliet and Diccon set up Salon London with the concept of getting expert speakers from right across the spectrum in front of an audience who wouldn’t normally be seen at a literary event. ALSO followed in 2014, putting the audience back in their natural habitat (a field, a bar, a late night disco bunker), still channelling ideas and speakers one step ahead of the curve, but adding music, comedy and food into the mix.

Since then, they’ve been hailed by Condé Nast Traveller as one of the best 100 festivals in the world, and graced the ‘top festival’ lists every year* from Financial Times to Guardian, Sunday Times to Stylist, Time Out to Telegraph.

What to expect?

Eccentric, playful, thought-provoking programming designed to get ideas into your head, with wild dancing and random fun by night. Choose from a huge programme of events – more than you could possibly pack into a single weekend – and curate your own adventure: life-enhancing ideas and big bands on the main stage, eclectic electronica and comedy in the woods, long table dinners, tastings and demos, and creative masterclasses all across the lakeside location.
