We're thrilled to have Aspex Gallery back at the festival!
They have commissioned three artists to act as an inventor, working with the people of Portsmouth to explore new ways of making through a series of workshops, exhibitions and artist residencies culminating in a presentation at Victorious Festival.
The Inventors are: Jon Lockhart- an artist and arts educator, working in mixed media installation using made and found objects.
Fern Toynton describes herself as a “designer, thinker and maker. With a maker's mentality and a love of being in the workshop”. This inventor’s work work has been shown on Dezeen and in publications such as Frame and Crafts.
Ming Wu is a Portsmouth born Industrial Designer. His practice is diverse, from designing underground trains, to a simple tea set.
