Bigger than Glastonbury?
This summer a collective audience of over 150,000 (that’s more than go to Glasto) will flock to twelve Let’s Rock locations across the UK to celebrate all things pop and 80s, entertained by some of the biggest stars of the era including Billy Ocean, The Human League, Status Quo and Erasure’s Andy Bell. The fun starts at Let’s Rock The Moor, Cookham, Berkshire on May 18 and runs through to Let’s Rock Essex on Sept 7, taking in locations in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland as well as all over England, with different line-ups at all the festivals.
Since launching in 2008 with a solitary festival at Cookham Moor in Berkshire, Let’s Rock has grown into the UK’s biggest retro festival series, and in doing so has re-launched and revitalized the careers of many 80s icons. Moreover, in a crowded Festival market, Let’s Rock has managed continuous growth: 2019 is their biggest year yet in terms of audience and Festival locations, with new sites in Wales, Belfast, Essex and Liverpool. Despite this dramatic growth over the past 11 years, Let’s Rock remains wholly independent and is not part of a Festival or Concert Promotion group.
In a festival scene dominated by the same names and themes, Let’s Rock offers something different: gloriously unpretentious non-stop fun, where the performers play hit after hit to a crowd of all ages, many of whom embrace the throwback vibe by dressing in their finest 80s fashion.
Says Billy Ocean, one of this year’s headliners, “I genuinely love playing Let’s Rock, the atmosphere is always brilliant. Ten thousand crazy fans singing your songs back to you – what could be better?!”

Let’s Rock works with many amazing charities including Child Bereavement UK, The Wooden Spoon, and The Link Foundation. They also work with local charities wherever possible. To date almost half a million pounds has been raised for children’s charities by The Let’s Rock brand.
Let’s Rock is a family-friendly festival; children can enjoy complimentary activities within the ‘Kids’ Kingdom’ area with an interactive circus, face painting, inflatables and more. For adults, there are multiple bars and a ‘Club Tropicana’ VIP area, plus of course the all-important posh loos.
