As our Inner-City journey comes ever closer, we turn the spotlight on the amazing artists that will soundtrack this unique experience.
First up is the emblematic artist of the Palestinian scene, Sama Abdulhadi, who has really gone from strength to strength. Her sets are rooted in high-octane, punchy techno as she describes her style of music as ‘Berlin Techno but I perceive it in a Lebanese way’. A place, especially Beirut, where she immersed herself in the burgeoning local techno scene, developing her into the artist she is today.
Much beyond the success she’s already enjoying, Sama’s goal has always been to put Palestine on the musical map, as she helps support local musicians by advising them on challenges they’ll face and building a platform for DJ’s and artists to better their skills.
After tearing the roof down at The Great Gallery last year, Sama will take over the inaugural Saturday as we wait in awe of what is yet to come ✨
