Get Ready for a Wild Ride: Why You Can’t Miss Getdown Services at Glastonbury 2025

The buzz is building, and the stages are almost set for Glastonbury 2025…

And to put the icing on the cake, one of the UK’s hottest (not-so) underground acts is about to hit Worthy Farm.

Meet Getdown Services, the Bristol-based post-punk duo who are making waves with their unique blend of sharp wit and raw energy. If you’ve been following the hype, you’ll know why you should absolutely catch them at Glastonbury.

They are (okay, in their own words) ‘Britain’s Best Band.

For those still in the dark, Getdown Services take the everyday frustrations of British life—awkward small talk, overpriced coffee, the absurdities of modern living—and turn them into irresistible, dance-worthy bangers. Think lo-fi synths, thumping basslines, and deadpan vocals that somehow make you want to move. They’ve been compared to the likes of Sleaford Mods, Yard Act, and LCD Soundsystem, but they’ve got their own distinct vibe—mischievous, self-aware, and totally infectious.

Where they really shine, though, is live. Recent reviews have been raving about their performances, with DIY Magazine calling their show a “controlled explosion of frantic energy,” while the crowd gets caught up in a “frenzied, joyous mess.” Sounds like the perfect way to spend your afternoon, right?

Their chemistry on stage is undeniable—Josh and Ben feed off each other’s energy, and their banter is just as sharp as their lyrics. Clash Magazine put it perfectly: “Their on-stage wit is like a second act to their music, creating an atmosphere that’s impossible not to enjoy.

Fans are already obsessed with tracks like “Biscuit Tin” and “Cream of the Crop,” which have become festival anthems in their own right. When you’re at their set, you’ll be singing along with the crowd before you know it.

Rolling Stone called them “the sharpest, most refreshing new act to emerge from the UK’s DIY scene“—and they’re right. Getdown Services are one of the most exciting acts around right now, and Glastonbury is your chance to catch them before they blow up even bigger.

So when you’re planning your weekend at Worthy Farm make sure you hit up the Croissant Neuf stage at 17:30 on Sunday.

In a festival full of big names, it’s the raw, unpolished energy of bands like Getdown Services that will leave you with the most unforgettable memories. Come for the laughs, stay for the beats, and you might just leave with a new favourite band.
