Each of these acts will get a full set, however, in a rapid-fire series of quick-changes, the new additions to the bill, chosen by the Eggtooth Project, will each get to play just one killer original song and one cover chosen from one of the legendary acts who have played the original Hastings Pier stage.

So expect to hear numbers from the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, The Who, The Clash, The Kinks, Hawkwind, The Specials, The Jam, T. Rex, The Rolling Stones, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds or the Sex Pistols.

Without any threat of mud to contend with event organisers promise: “a joyous, carnival-like affair, with an emphasis on dressing up and getting involved in the magical vibes only Hastings can create.”

Tickets are just £15 from http://zooquariumfestival.com/

Beatrice Rapley, Hastings Pier Charity’s Learning and Education Manager says:  “ZOOQUARIUM festival is being created by and for young people to celebrate the incredible talent of our local under 25-year-olds. We want to showcase emerging musicians and give them a professional platform forum on which to perform to an audience of thousands on the unique venue that is Hastings Pier. For young people to stand in the spot where Jimi Hendrix and The Rolling Stones played and to be able to support a big star like Rat Boy and say, ‘I think that is an inspiring experience. We want young people from Sussex to know that with hard work and opportunity they can achieve whatever they set their sights on.”
