One of the many great things about running Hastings Beer and Music Festival is knowing that every minute of meticulous planning, preparation, hard work and dedication put in by all the volunteers that organise and staff the event, results in cash for good causes in our LOCAL COMMUNITY.
And, while the festival might only be a few days long for those that come along, the impact of that weekend lasts days, weeks, months and years in some cases for those it helps.
Since we started, we’ve raised over £1.2 million for local charities and causes. Last year alone, we raised £60,000.
Yesterday, more money was given out: £3,000 to local counselling service, Counselling Plus. We LOVE these moments and they are only possible because of you.
We’re going to share more stories about where the money we raise goes over the coming months because we think it’s important you know.
We are among the largest festivals in the South East and are the biggest thats run by volunteer members from the community, for the community – Thank you for continuing to support us!
The Round Table, an amazing organisation formed of young like minded men with the simple objective of raising money to give back out to local charities and causes. Today our Vice-Chairman Paul McCleery (pictured) was able to donate a cheque for £3000 to Counselling Plus. Counselling Plus are charity based in Hastings and are there to offer confidential counselling to people aged 16 years plus, in the local area, at such times of stress, change, pain or loss. One of our main aims is to provide an affordable service for those on low income or living on benefits. They welcome clients from all sections of the community without any regard to disability, gender, marital status, race, racial group, colour, ethnic or national origin, nationality, religion, belief or sexual orientation.
Every penny raised from the Hastings Beer & Music Festival is given to organisations just like this, who are in need of valuable money to keep these services going.
