Well 2018 will go down as a cracking year….. England in the WC semis and could possibly win the World Cup… fingers crossed it β€˜comes home’. But for me I’ll always remember being Chairman of the Incredible Hastings Beer and Music Festival… definitely the proudest achievement of my working life. It is also without a doubt the toughest thing I have ever undertaken….. 9 months of planning and preparation that culminated in this years Festival. All done voluntarily around a challenging FT job, beautiful supportive young family and my passion for Futsal!!!

I’d like to say a huge thank you to my colleagues in Hastings Round Table for putting their faith in me and supporting my vision for this year’s event. To my amazing committee ; my Vice-Chairman Paul McCleery PT, Dominic Compagnone, Nick Neal, Darrell Hartley, Matthew Bates, Mark Boles, @Graham Knight and Tony Lee plus Laura Neal, Steph McCleery, Wayne Lister, Greg Gooch, Baz and Lee Ballancore whom without it would never have happened.

To John Bryant and his talented team from On Stage, Tom Trustcott and the Brighton University team for their tireless work, Josh Harrison, Dominic Truscott, Dale at LWC, Chandlers Hailsham MINI, Chris Johnson Photographyn for his brilliant photography and saving the day on two occasions behind the scenes and the support from β€˜41 Club’ and their suffering wives and children.

To our sponsors and partners; Big Thanks specifically to Dynamic Scaffolding, Gurney Harden Solicitors, Littlewood Fencing, Hastings Windows Trade Paints, Rustico Italiano ( who fed us workers all week) and Kileys Karpets Penn Elcom Online Creed AssociatesVictoria Tyre Centre to name a few.

To Matt Southam and his team at MJS Media for their web and graphic design support and Dave and Charlie at Thomas Design & Graphics. A Big Thank you to the Performers – Roger Wilcock, his Band and Hastings BIG Choir, The Wingmen, The CoverUps, Tor and his band Johnny B, our friends from Round Table in Norway who travelled over especially, The Blockx, The Kavemen and to Chris and the amazing The Chandeliers Uk… not forgetting Claire Louise, Brandon Block and Matt Maurice Event Music.

To our two nominated charities at the event this year, Dom’s FOOD mission and Martha Trust and all their staff.

Then the important people… my long-suffering amazing family, Harriet, Matilda and Reuben who have put up with so much to enable me to be Chairman this year….
and then… to those people to attended…. volunteered and most of all enjoyed this years HBMF… Thank you so so much.

One last note… a huge thank you to James Beeching for coming up with the Greatest Showman idea…. inspired JB.

Now, let’s please remember this… it’s all done to raise money for local good causes, all the profits raised are donated to Hastings Round Table to distribute to local good causes and that is why HBMF is such a special, special event. We’ll announce the total for this year soon but for now, thanks again

Paul Wilson
Chairman
Hastings Beer and Music Festival 2018

This is my 6th year singing with Roger Wilcock’s Hastings Big Choir at the Proms and it’s always a pleasure and a privilege to do so. We are grateful for all the tremendous hard work that goes into making the stage and the lighting absolutely amazing. Thank you Paul and the Round Table. Please have us back again next year!

Well done to all the Beer and music festival committee who really have put so much time and effort into the last 9 months to make this event not only a brilliant 4 evenings for everyone to enjoy but also to make sure everyone attending was safe whilst having a great time. So much goes on behind the scenes that no one takes any notice of and you guys all worked so well together to achieve it. You have done Hastings proud.
    Well done! 😘
