No Normal is a collection of four short films made by Muslim artists from the UK and US, commissioned by us with the support of our friends at Amal. Each artist brings their unique creative perspective and talents to the screen, from poetry and dance to music. The films are knitted together by narrator Abdul-Rehman Malik and run for just under 30 minutes.
Following the films, No Normal’s producer (festival friend and cultural curator) Asad Ali Jafri sat down with the artists involved for what proved to be a wonderful and moving 45-minute conversation, reflecting on life, loss, creativity and faithfulness in a time of pandemic.
