Today is #WorldTheatreDay and so we’ve been thinking about the power great theatre can have to change our lives and our worlds. In particular, we’re reflecting on our podcast conversation with Co-Artistic Director of Belarus Free Theatre and ‘public enemy’ to Alexander Lukashenko’s regime in Belarus, Natalia Kaliada.

Here’s a snippet of Natalia telling us about imprisoned members of Belarus Free Theatre who were better able to face their incarceration and treatment in jail, after being arrested for attending pro-democracy protests, because of their involvement in making theatre.
