To close our Friday mainstage music bill at our 50th festival, we’re humbled to welcome back our Ukrainian friends, the brilliant Balaklava Blues. Given everything that has unfolded in their home country since
last they were with us, this time we’re putting their wild brew of dance-meets-protest-music front and centre on our opening night.“A lot of the music that we’re singing is inspired by 1,000-year-old traditional Ukrainian polyphony.
