Jeremy has a unique and honourable place in LGBTQ history. In the late 80s, Jeremy started
the Courage ministry, a live-in programme for men and women trying to become straight. In 2000, Jeremy realised that the programme was simply not working, that trying to change one’s sexuality was both futile and damaging, and instead turned Courage into an LGBTQ-affirming ministry, at enormous personal cost to himself and becoming a pariah in the Christian circles he had moved in.
