Picture it. Summer of 1994. The Channel Tunnel has just opened. Nelson Mandela is the new president of South Africa. And Pulp Fiction is about to be the smash hit of the year. You’re at Deene Park, it’s Greenbelt Festival weekend. The theme of the year is ‘Roots, Rhythm and Redemption’. And a fresh-faced Jeremy Vine takes to the stage to talk about… *checks notes*… ‘fake news’.

We’ve been rummaging through our old cassettes (google it) and found this gem from the then BBC political correspondent, now legendary presenter, broadcaster and journalist Jeremy Vine, entitled ‘If It’s In The News, It Must Be True’.

Listen to the full 25-minute talk on our website https://www.greenbelt.org.uk/talks/if-its-in-the-news/ or download our App to listen on-the-go https://www.greenbelt.org.uk/app/.
