On the eve of Black History Month, we recognise that this year has been painfully significant for black communities around the world: disproportionately ravaged by Covid-19; suffering brutality and murder at the hands of those who are paid to protect and maintain the law; the face of the majority of poverty around the world; and still having to ‘do the work’ of awakening white populations the realisation of their white privilege, supremacy and their imperial histories of exploitation and oppression.
There is much for us to do.
