Love. It’s all you need, right? Or as the Bible says in Corinthians: faith, hope and love. And the greatest of these is love. But what does it mean in today’s fractured and fractious world (other than you’re possibly at a wedding)? In a world so fearful – of the other, of the future, of viruses and death, of everything – the antidote to all that fear is a simple four-letter word. Is there anything more radical in these times of division and ‘othering’ than the idea of loving one’s enemies, in whatever form they take?
