It’s not just the first day of a New Year, it’s also the first day in a long time *and for many of us ever* that we’re waking up to a home that’s outside of the European Union. We wanted to share this clip from Danny Dorling’s talk back in the summer of 2019 to offer some hope and comfort to those who may need it today. Because, as Danny says, whatever this new future brings, we can get through it by being kind to one another.

Danny is a social geographer and an unashamed Remainer. His Greenbelt talk ‘What’s So Funny About Brexit?’ has proved to be a conversation starter with thousands online and argues that the vote to leave the EU was the last gasp of the old empire working its way out of the British psyche.
