Latest Festival Flyer update from Greenbelt

Hope shouldn’t be confused with optimism. It’s something different. Optimism tends to be based on evidence and data, and so depending on what is happening in the world, we can find ourselves oscillating between the two poles of optimism and pessimism. Hope is something rooted and patient though. Hope is steadier, steelier and more resilient. It can survive even when plenty looks and feels ‘hopeless’. Hope is something you plant in the bleak midwinter, buried into the hard, cold ground. Confident that something will still come of it. Eventually.

This reminds me of this superb book by Jane Goodall, released a few months back. I loved it! A great holiday read, highly recommend!
