Glade is our mainstage and this year it steps out into the great outdoors, opening itself to sun and wind and the starry skies. No more in-crowd or outsiders. No more peering into the gloom of that cavernous big top. Instead, let’s stand in the light together and soak up the very best music and ideas the festival has to offer.

  1. I understand the idea but really hope there will be sufficient other shelter for those of us with kids/who hate the heat and sun/if it finally rains. Being able to get in the shade under the Big Top was one of our faves in years past! I guess I’ll mostly be sitting under the trees by the lawn enjoying the Canopy programme!

  2. Kev Easton says:

The old mainstage at Castle Ashby holds some of my favourite festival moments – especially Chagall Guevera in 1991. Whole set is now available on Youtube if anyone wants some nostalgia 🙂

  3. Be really great to no longer have the inside and outside for the huge events such as communion, big speakers etc. Exciting developments!

  4. So back to the ‘good ol’ days’ then? 🙂

  5. What……no under dark cloth?

  6. Sarah Boswell dad would have been so happy! 🥳

  7. Absolutely fantastic news!!!!!

  8. I hope we don’t soak up lots of rain. I remember joining about 30 others watching Tinariwen headlining in a storm at one of the first Boughton House Greenbelts.
