Fifty. It’s just a number, yes. But a festival whose heart and soul is still alive and well half a century after first being a glint in the eyes of its founders is worth celebrating, right?
And we want as many to celebrate with us as possible. Not to get all nostalgic, back-slappy and dewy-eyed, but to dance and debate, to pray and party and to stand in solidarity once more. To find the courage, creativity and inspiration we’ll all need in order to face the next fifty years.
The festival’s form might have ebbed and flowed over the decades, but the same restless Spirit-led spirit – inter-weaving artistry, activism and belief – remains the rock-solid DNA that binds and energises Greenbelt still.
