An elderly Australian cartoonist-activist who regularly gets in trouble with his government for his quiet, subversive, playful and prayerful drawings, Leunig enjoys a cult following of journeying devotees the world over. Not least, there are many in the Greenbelt community who would regard him as a modern-day seer in a world much in need of lodestars. Now, after what seems like a lifetime of asking him to come, this is our chance to share Leunig's secret with a wider audience. Living according to the beat of a different drum, Leunig believes that nothing can be loved at speed. This is Micheal Leunig – wit and wisdom personified – in residence across the festival.
