Glastonbury 2025 is almost on us, and as the inevitable anticipation builds and people get lost in their programme apps trying to avoid headliner clashes, we’re here to shine a spotlight on one rather special act who’s absolutely going to blow you away: Samantics…

If you’re looking for an unforgettable live experience that blends raw honesty with electrifying energy, you need to mark this guy down on your itinerary and circle it with a big red pen…

Samantics isn’t just a musician; he’s a ‘livewire rap-poet and musician whose lyrical maps are a personal stroll around his vision of England and his own life.’

Imagine a truly unique sound crafted right before your eyes as you get transported on ‘a multitudinous odyssey of instrumentation – ukulele, piano, beats, bass, electronics and more – all created and controlled via a loop station and sampler.’

This isn’t your average set; far from it! It’s a meticulously built, yet still somehow spontaneous soundscape of ideas and inspirations that’s captivating and exhilarating in equal measures.

Described as ‘an unmissable solo artist bound to spike your energy levels,’ Samantics masterfully skirts the line between slam poet, social commentator and street busker.

His live shows are nothing short of ‘frantic, funny, and thrilling,’ and you’ll quickly understand why he’s earned the reputation of being ‘impossible to stop watching’.

“Whether playing to a festival tent filled with thousands, or a man and his dog in the local boozer, the live show is always the same: off. the. chain. Get ready to be hooked!”

What makes Samantics truly special is his incredible ability to connect.

With everyone.

He’s been called a one-man machine of honesty, energy, words and noise and his lyrics are deeply personal, portraying his own unique vision of the world we’re all wandering.

He speaks – and sometimes shrieks – directly from the centre of his ‘erratic heart’.

Samantics creates a powerful, noisy poetry that resonates deeply. It’s almost, but not quite hip-hop, but it’s not quite not hop-hop either.

Weird. And Wicked.

From his debut album onwards he’s had tonnes of well-deserved great reviews, with one journo noting that Samantics’ spoken word poetry style is reminiscent of artists like Kate Tempest, exploring the tricky themes of battling depression and anxiety with a clever blend of humor and dark melodies.

Samantics’ journey to the stage is as compelling as his performances. He grew up listening to punk bands practicing in his dad’s living room, which gave him an early taste of “the thrill and uppercut of live music.” However, initially, he was reserved and a little too shy for the stage. His passion truly ignited with words, ‘words he’d keep to himself in his pad, words, and poetry, that helped explain what he couldn’t always say out loud. It wasn’t until he realized that these words ‘could be lyrics, and these lyrics could be lifesaving,’ that he finally decided to perform them.

The act of challenging himself to make these hidden words public on a stage was a massive step, but from the second he did, everything changed when he discovered the thrill of being in front of a crowd.

From slam poetry to the one-man wall of noise he’s become today, a Samantics live show is almost indescribable.

He performs the same words and melodies found on his self-recorded, produced, and mastered albums, and despite being a one-man band still somehow manages to turn them up way past 11. As Steve Lamacq of Radio 6 aptly put it, he’s ‘a really clever fella… funny, entertaining, engaging and moving.’

…imagine a ferret after 9 shots of espresso, with a ukulele, on speed – that’s the kind of exhilarating energy you can expect!

Samantics is more than just an artist; he’s a phenomenon. His ability to fuse intricate instrumentation with heartfelt, honest lyrics creates an experience that’s both entertaining and deeply personal. Don’t miss the chance to witness this ‘one man machine of honesty, energy, words and noise’ at Glastonbury 2025.

We guarantee you an unforgettable performance that will leave you buzzing long after the final notes have faded and the applause has finally stopped.
