‘This overlooked sweatbox was where Väth made his name as “Baba” long before his Cocoon days. For years Omen was at the heart of the Frankfurt sound which left an indelible mark of club culture in Germany and beyond. Omen threw a now-legendary closing party in 1998, after ten years on the scene, and so many people came down that a spontaneous open-air kicked off out front. A sound system was erected and police blocked off the street.’
