About
Sidmouth Folk Festival dates back to 1955 and takes over the East Devon seaside town for a week in early August.
There are concerts, ceilidhs, dance displays on the seafront, workshops, singarounds and sessions in pubs. It's one of the biggest folk festivals in England, and the whole town gets involved. Events take place in marquees, halls and pubs and on the Ham by the river, and much of it is free to watch.
