Paredes de Coura

Paredes de Coura started in 1993 in the green hills of the Minho, in Portugal's far north, beside a river beach on the Taboão.

The line-up is mostly indie, rock and alternative, with big names and Portuguese acts. Swimming in the river and camping in the woods are part of the experience. The main stage sits in a natural amphitheatre in the valley, and the festival's distance from the big cities is part of its appeal.
