About
Paléo started in 1976 as a folk festival in Nyon, on the shores of Lake Geneva. It now runs for six days in late July and is one of Switzerland's biggest open-air events.
The programme covers rock, pop, French chanson, rap, electronic and world music, with a 'Village du Monde' focused on a different region each year. It's run with a lot of care, and the views over the lake are a bonus.
