NOS Alive started in 2007 on the riverfront at Algés, by the Tagus just west of Lisbon, and runs over three days in July.

The bill mixes big rock, indie and pop headliners with alternative, electronic and Portuguese acts, plus comedy and fado. It's an easy city festival to reach by train or tram.
