About
Les Vieilles Charrues ('the old ploughs') started in 1992 as a party among friends and has grown into one of France's biggest festivals, held each July in the small Breton town of Carhaix.
The line-up mixes French pop, rock, rap and chanson with international headliners and Breton music, and the whole town gets involved. It's run by a non-profit association with thousands of volunteers.
