About
Leeds has been the northern half of the Reading and Leeds weekend since 1999, when the Reading festival added a second site. After its first years at Temple Newsam it moved in 2003 to Bramham Park, a country estate between Leeds and Wetherby.
The two sites share one line-up over the August bank holiday weekend, with bands playing Bramham Park a day before or after their Reading set. The crowd is young and the campsites are busy; for a lot of people in the north it's the first festival they go to without their parents.
