Le Printemps de Bourges started in 1977 in the cathedral city of Bourges, in central France, and takes place each April.
Its programme covers French pop, rock, rap, chanson and electronic, from big names to new talent. It's known for spotting new French artists. Concerts take place in halls and tents across the city centre, with free stages in the streets, and its iNOUïS programme of new artists has helped launch plenty of careers.
