About
Latitude started in 2006 at Henham Park, a country estate near Southwold in Suffolk, and has stayed there. It's run by Festival Republic, and music is only part of it: comedy, theatre, literature, poetry, talks and dance all have their own stages and tents.
The site spreads around woods and a lake, with the famous dyed sheep in the fields, and the crowd leans towards families and people who have been coming for years. Headliners tend to be big indie, rock and pop names, but you could easily spend the weekend in the comedy tent and the woods.
