About
Jazzfest Berlin dates back to 1964, when it started as the Berliner Jazztage, and takes place in early November. The Haus der Berliner Festspiele is the main venue, with concerts in clubs across the city.
It's a festival for contemporary jazz and improvised music, from European and American leading names to new and experimental work, often with premieres and collaborations. It's one of Europe's oldest jazz festivals and has long been a meeting point for American and European musicians.
