About
Hellfest first took over the vineyard town of Clisson, south-east of Nantes, in 2006. It's France's biggest metal festival and one of the largest in Europe, and the site is known for its look: giant sculptures, fire and a mock town square called Hellcity.
Six stages are split by style: two main stages for the headliners, the Altar and the Temple for extreme and black metal, the Valley for stoner and doom, and the Warzone for punk and hardcore. It's held over four days in June.
