About
Green Man began as a small folk gathering in 2003 and now fills Glanusk Park, beside the River Usk in the Brecon Beacons, for four days in August. It's independent, and its line-ups (indie, folk, psych, electronic and the left field) are among the most respected in the UK.
The Mountain Stage sits in a natural amphitheatre below the hills, Einstein's Garden covers science for all ages, and there's literature, comedy and film. The weekend ends on Sunday night with the burning of a giant wooden Green Man. It's one of the best family festivals in the country.
