About
Edinburgh's Hogmanay has been run as a festival since 1993 and covers the last days of December and New Year's Day. The capital's New Year has a reputation as one of the best in the world.
There's a torchlight procession through the Old Town, a Street Party along Princes Street, a Concert in the Gardens below the castle, and a midnight firework display from the castle ramparts. On New Year's Day, the Loony Dook sees hundreds run into the sea at South Queensferry.
