About
Deer Shed is a family festival held at Baldersby Park, near Thirsk in North Yorkshire, in late July. It was started in 2010 by people who wanted a festival they could take their kids to without settling for second-rate music.
The music is indie and alternative, picked with a fan's ear, alongside comedy, theatre, science, sport and workshops aimed at children and their parents. It's small, relaxed and well organised, with a loyal following.
