About
Creamfields grew out of Liverpool's Cream club. It began in 1998 in Hampshire, spent several years at Speke in Liverpool, and since 2006 has been held on the Daresbury Estate in Cheshire, between Warrington and Runcorn, over the August bank holiday weekend.
It's the UK's biggest dance music festival, built around huge covered arenas and an outdoor main stage, with house, techno, trance, drum and bass and big-room EDM across the weekend. Most people camp, and the production is as big as the bill. There have been Creamfields events abroad too.
