a focused celebration of contemporary dance, bringing together performers, choreographers, and audiences
About
Cambridge Dance Festival is a focused celebration of contemporary dance, bringing together performers, choreographers, and audiences for an intensive programme of shows, workshops, and talks. Designed to highlight innovation and experimentation, the festival showcases work that pushes physical boundaries while remaining accessible to both dedicated dance fans and curious newcomers.Performances take place across a range of venues, creating an intimate connection between artists and audiences.
The programme often balances bold new commissions with touring productions, offering insight into where contemporary dance is heading rather than simply revisiting familiar forms. Workshops and participatory sessions are a key part of the event, encouraging hands-on engagement and creative exchange. What distinguishes Cambridge Dance Festival is its emphasis on dialogue.
